"The lifespan of a hot tub cover can be extended by adding shock chemicals with the cover off for 15 minutes, properly maintaining water chemistry, refraining from placing items on cover, using a cover lifter, avoiding extra weight on the cover and cleaning the vinyl with a recommended cleaner."
